Jellyfish

I never really got poetry until I heard a spoken word piece, and it just hit me.

Andrea Gibson's poems do this to me every damn time, and then I just sit there like, she put it into words. Beautifully, even. Amazingly.

I'm pretty visual, so I listen to Jellyfish and I can envision images that go along with the words. Often I try to express it with an illustration, but it doesn't quite fit right and I give up. This I saw and tried and feel like it came out alright, it's one of my many favorite parts. Actually, the whole thing is my favorite.

Some of my other favorites are Asking too Much, Panic Button Collector, and Bullets and Wind chimes.

TL;DR get some Andrea Gibson into your life

Switching from cintaqs to tablets is such a switch

If you look at all the tags, you can see that I worry a bit about being vain, and then pop right back up from that. To quote Lady Gaga, Art and pop culture is me.

I used my little old Bamboo tablet for this, it's definitely different from the cintaqs at school, but it gets the job done.

In other news, I'm going back to red soon, and I'm so excited. Like, I like other colors, and I'll probably miss them a bit after I switch, but I'm happiest with red.

Maybe if I actually bleached my hair and could get as bright hues with other shades I'd switch colors more often, but red is just so nice and bright right away.
